The Toy Box in Hanover has very generously gotten involved with Santa’s Sandy Hands and MANNAM-Boston by offering the following:
This is a very kind offer, and MANNAM-Boston and Santa’s Sandy Hands are very grateful for their help and generosity.
So, this year do your Christmas gift and toy shopping at The Toy Box, and while you are there pick up a little something extra for those children whose lives have been devastated by Hurricane Sandy.

I quickly wanted to share some amazing news. This is the post from our Facebook page:
MASSIVELY AWESOME ANNOUNCEMENT:
We have been offered a small aircraft by Patient AirLift Services!!
If we can collect enough gifts to be donated to Hurricane Sandy victims through the “Santa’s Sandy Hands” Project, then they will fly everything down to New Jersey to be delivered! How amazing is that?! I am blown away by the generosity and kindness of people ♥

Santa’s Sandy Hands is a project that was recently started to collect gifts for children and families directly affected and displaced by Hurricane Sandy. These families have lost pretty much everything, and so the goal and purpose of Santa’s Sandy Hands is to spread some much needed love, joy and hope this holiday season.
For more information or to organize a drop-off/pick-up of gifts, please contact Katherine at 857-488-2741 or email: email@example.com
Please spread the word to family and friends! Any gift, small or large, is welcome (anything you can manage, nothing is too small). Let’s spread some love, light, and hope this holiday season.
Together we can make a difference!

This past Saturday (November 10) my car was packed full of the most needed items and supplies that had been donated, and then driven down and delivered to Keansburg, NJ in an effort to help some of the hardest hit and poorest communities affected by Superstorm Sandy.
While in Keansburg I met some amazing people and heard some amazing stories. I will post more photos and stories as soon as possible, but I wanted to ask everyone for their help again. MANNAM-Boston will still be collecting the following items to be delivered to Breezy Point and Rockaway Beach areas this coming Saturday (Nov 17):
(NY and NJ shelters are not accepting anymore clothing donations but MANNAM-Boston will happily take any children’s clothing that you would like to donate as we are still volunteering and working closely with Cradles to Crayons of Boston. Any children’s clothing we receive as donations will be delivered to C2C.)
But on top of collecting these items listed above, there is a new project that has just started up called “Santa’s Sandy Hands”.
The purpose of the Santa’s Sandy Hands Project is to collect new unwrapped toys, new household items, new clothing, gift cards, and wrapping needs from November 10, 2012 through December 10, 2012. These items will be distribute as Christmas gifts to children and families displaced as a direct result of Superstorm Sandy. Our goal is to deliver, through these presents, a message of hope to these families that have endured so much. …May we all keep the Revive.Rebuild.Recover.Restore spirit alive until the last displaced family is in a home of their own.
MANNAM-Boston will be collecting all of these gifts and delivering them to the organizers of the Santa’s Sandy Hands project on December 8. If you are able to help out by donating new toys, new clothes, gift cards, or household items please contact us via email: firstname.lastname@example.org or you can call Katherine at 857-488-2741 for more information and drop-off locations.
Let us come together and spread a little bit of light and hope to those who have lost and endured so much!

Hi everyone, we have been contacted by some friends and family affected by Hurricane Sandy who are looking for some very basic essentials. I am sure you have seen the photos and news reports on the complete devastation that has taken place along the Jersey shore and NY area (as well as many other places). Please read below and contact me if you are able to help out in any way.
Here is the message we received from people in NYC/NJ area:
“I know money is tight, but we need supplies that many of us have laying around. If you could spare the postage, I will distribute the things you send to my friends and neighbors who have literally lost everything but the clothes on their backs.
With much appreciation and thanks!”
Please contact me (email@example.com or 857-488-2741) if you are able to help out – anything, no matter how small will make a big difference.
If you would like to put together your own package and ship it yourself you can contact me for the shipping address and I will send you a message with the information.
Let’s help bring some light and hope to those who have lost everything!
(Please share this information with anyone who could or would be interested in helping out. Thanks!)
